BRANDING + WEB DESIGN - Governor Wolf Historical Society

Updated: Nov 2, 2021

The Wolf Academy Historical Site is the heart of education in Pennsylvania. Located in Northampton, it’s where George Wolf attended school and taught, eventually becoming the seventh Governor of Pennsylvania. Known as the “Father of Public Education,” he established the first statewide system of publicly financed education. He was also a three-term member for the House of Representatives, and served as the Treasurer for the United States under President Andrew Jackson. He’s a pretty important historical figure.

Since 1957, the Governor Wolf Historical Society has been dedicated to the preservation of local history through education as well as the restoration of historically significant structures in the Lehigh Valley. They offer venue rentals for their four facilities: The Wolf Academy, Monocacy School, Ralston-McKeen House, and the Richard Nye Memorial Garden.

These venues are ideal for a variety of events such as weddings, meetings, and parties. This year, they have begun the process of redesigning their museum with new cases, exhibits, and interactive displays that tell the story of Governor George Wolf, early education, and local German and Scots-Irish citizens living in East Allen Township.

For people of the Lehigh Valley who want to know more about our state’s history and the significance of Governor Wolf, we helped the historical society build a refreshed brand. This includes a new logo for their website, along with four other designs showing each of their different venues.

We want their historical significance to resonate with locals and history nerds alike, so we made them a website that looks professional while educating guests about Pennsylvania’s important past. The website also has an organized calendar for events and meetings, including their bi-monthly newsletter, venue rentals, and an easy way to donate to help with their restoration. The Wolf Academy Historic Site continues to provide valuable information for visitors, and we’re fortunate to help them with marketing, web design, and branding.
